Overview
Bedec All Prime is an all-surface and all purpose primer for interior and exterior walls, ceilings, doors, trim, railings, ferrous, non-ferrous metals and related paintable surfaces. Formulated by Bedec to offer stain blocking and rust inhibiting properties and give you an all in one primer and sealer. All Prime is a water-based, environmentally friendly option that is quick drying and recoatable in only 4 hours to enable you to get the job done efficiently. The ability to apply using a brush, roller or sprayer offers quick and easy application and makes it ideal for larger areas.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry, sound, and free from any contaminates such as grease and wallpaper adhesive which may affect adhesion.
- Wash the surface with a household cleaner or methylated spirits and rinse with clean water. Only clean new galvanized with methylated spirits.
- Remove any loose or unsound coatings and materials, and sand any flaking paint to create a smooth surface.
- New plaster which is dusty or polished will need to be lightly abraded to allow for adhesion.
- Lightly sand exposed wood with 80-100 grit sandpaper to create a smooth sound surface.
- Remove as much staining as possible by washing, scraping, or sanding.
- Remove mould and treat with an .
- Prepare rusty areas by using a wire brush to remove the rust deposits and clean with methylated spirits.
- Spot prime knots and sap streaks after suitable preparation.
- Glossy surfaces will need to be sanded to allow for adequate adhesion.
Application
We recommend testing a small area to ensure adequate adhesion and results. Apply in temperatures above 5°C and relative humidity is less than 85%.
- Ensure to stir the paint well prior to application.
- Apply using a brush, roller or sprayer, when using an airless sprayer we recommend 2500 psi 13 to 15 thou tip, 50° Angle. For a HVLP sprayer p to 15% clean water 15 to 18 thou tip.
- Do not dilute the paint it is ready to use, unless on a porous surface where a mist coat may be required, in this instance thin with up to 30% water.
- It will be touch dry in two hours and re-coatable after four hours.
- Generally one coat will be required except on porous surfaces and for some stained surfaces a second coat could be needed.
